I had the opportunity to do an interview with Rodrigo Alves, a former editor of the magazine “The Foodie” and now a contributing writer at “The Food & Wine Spectator”. Rodrigo was asked about his thoughts on the art of the home and his philosophy on how to be a successful interior designer.

His job is to paint the exterior of the home and then the interior. But since he’s really happy with the way his home looks, he decided to keep the exterior the same color as the interior.
The idea that you can take an interior and paint it in a different color than what it currently is is not a new one. The same idea is behind the “Paint Me A White House” campaign. The campaign is a simple thing to do, but it’s a great way to get people to think about what they’d like their house to be like and why, and what they think is a better color than what they currently see.
