But while injuries are an issue, they do not always lead to a workplace injury. In fact, we have found in our investigations that the majority of injuries that occur on a construction job are actually job related. The only time a construction worker is not at risk for an injury is when they are working a subcontractor’s job.
A subcontractor is one of the lowest-paid jobs in construction. These men are usually paid $12 to $15 an hour while the company pays the worker $12 a day for the same job. These men do it because they are unable to make the company pay for their wages because of the way the work is done. They usually do it because of a combination of poor communication, bad timing, and a lack of training.
That’s why it is important to have a safety plan in place in the construction industry. It is also why it is important to have a supervisor that is aware of the company’s safety plan. The more safety training that is available, the less risky the work is.
The companies safety plan is a good place to start. There are two different kinds of safety plans. One is a written document that is written by the company and is approved by the employer. The other is a verbal safety training that the employer gives employees each day. The verbal safety training is usually a lot less detailed than the written safety plan, but its purpose is the same, to teach the employees how to work safely.
The problem with verbal safety training is that it’s not always easy for employees to remember what they’re supposed to do. If they’re not familiar with the material and they don’t know what to do, they won’t be able to follow directions and will likely do something inappropriate.
What employers are really trying to do is create a new set of expectations for employees. If you want your employees to be safe, you’ll need to give them an effective safety plan. That can take the form of verbal and written safety training, although the latter is more common.
In many of the states that have enacted workplace safety laws, it is illegal to make employees jump through hoops to do something that is not part of the job description. This is particularly true in the public sector and other industries that attract a lot of high-profile employees. The problem, as with many safety measures, is that it is often not clear what is wrong with the employee.
Safety training should be a simple and effective process for the employee, and should begin with a detailed description of each position, including the required skills and knowledge. Then there is the question of the employee’s comfort level. This is often a factor in the employee’s willingness to take on the job. For example, a recent survey found that only 7% of employees believed that they had been adequately trained on the job, and another 17% were uncertain about their safety knowledge.
