I’ve recently found this great how-to video for turning off LinkedIn’s job alerts. It’s a really useful tool that gives you a good look at what types of jobs are available.
This video doesn’t even come close to the most valuable bit of information that I’ve seen, but its a great way to look at something that is still pretty cool.
The last time I checked, LinkedIn had 1.6 million active jobs, and this video shows how to turn off the job alerts. If you don’t want any more messages from LinkedIn asking you for a job, you can simply turn it off by visiting LinkedIn’s home page and clicking “Settings.
When I was in college, people who were in my field at the time didn’t check their email addresses, or their email data, or their contacts. When I was a kid, people would have to go to their home pages to visit and find what the school was doing, what the school was doing, and what their friends were doing. I got a job at a school like that.

Of course, there are other ways to remove LinkedIn messages, including the “remove all LinkedIn messages” option in its settings. But if you happen to want to clear them out of your Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn accounts, don’t be turned off by a single one.
I believe it is because LinkedIn has a lot of methods to keep you from seeing those alerts at all. Its like a web of links from all kinds of places. So by default, LinkedIn removes all of them from your accounts. But you can use it all the time to tell it to send out those alerts, like the way you tell your cable provider to send you alerts about your cable bill.
Another method you can use is to use the LinkedIn notification system. But this one is more sophisticated and lets you set up a different set of notifications for different types of work.
