I guess I’m trying to say that you have to get out of your routine to have any fun in life. It’s really important to be flexible and creative when it comes to how you go out and what you do. You can’t do it all day, and you can’t do it all week. You have to get out of your comfort zone in order to be truly happy.
So how do you do that? For some people, it’s by getting a job in a field that you’re passionate about. For others, it’s by making a hobby out of something that you love. Both of these are great things to do, but there’s a fine line between them. After all, you can get really good at something, but if you don’t stay with it… it won’t get you too far.
If youre just getting started with your new job youll probably want to give it some time. If youre a musician or actor, you can always just pick up a hobby or two and get the hang of it. But if youre in a field like graphic design, marketing, or engineering, it might be a whole lot easier if you take a break. You can always pick things up again, but you have to figure out how to do them in the way that you want to.
It’s also probably a good idea to take some time off when you’re starting a new job because you’ll likely need to do it for many years. It’s the way of the world. If you’re not in a position to get more than a few months’ worth of work done, you’ll be working in a field where you’ll need long hours and lots of training.
If youre a small business owner, youll probably need to look at your business from a marketing perspective. From a sales perspective, or from a customer perspective, youll need to work on some marketing tactics. Youll have to take advantage of your strengths and weaknesses and figure out what works best for your business.
If you’re in a position where you feel you cant, or dont have the time, to get more than a few months worth of work done, you might want to consider some other options. Working as a contractor, for example, may lead to a more productive work schedule. When working in the construction industry it can be hard to have a long period of time off, so working as a contractor may be ideal. Another option is becoming a real estate agent or property manager.
I understand that you may not want to be a real estate agent or property manager, but it is actually the most fun part of the job. You’re working on the mortgage but you don’t have any real estate skills, and you don’t want to take on the other things your new boss tells you.
In construction, Ive found that working as a contractor can be a good choice for most people. The pay is good, the hours are long, and you get to work on lots of interesting projects. They also don’t make the mistake of looking for the quick fix when they should be looking for the long term solution.
